MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A series of new product recalls is prompting families to double-check their kitchens and toy bins, as several well-known brands pull items from shelves for safety reasons.
FreshPoint recalls chicken salad sandwiches for allergen risk

FreshPoint, based in Orlando, Fla., has recalled more than 1,000 Cranberry Chicken Salad Wedge sandwiches after discovering that egg, a common allergen, was not properly disclosed on the packaging. The sandwiches were distributed to a single convenience store chain in Georgia and Florida between Aug. 19 and Sept. 3rd. No illnesses have been reported. Consumers with an egg allergy are urged to check the “use by” date and avoid eating the product.
Foods Alive Organic Moringa Leaf Powder pulled for salmonella concerns

Foods Alive is recalling certain eight-ounce pouches of its Organic Moringa Leaf Powder, which may be contaminated with salmonella. The recalled powder has a “Freshest By” date of Nov. 1, 2027, and the number 02726 printed below that date. The product was sold nationwide in stores and online. No illnesses have been reported. Consumers are advised to return the product for a full refund.
Horizon Organic Dairy recalls chocolate milk over packaging issue

Horizon Organic Dairy has recalled more than 50,000 cases of one percent chocolate milk due to a packaging problem that could cause the milk to spoil before the listed “best by” date. The recall affects containers with expiration dates between Jan. 28th and Feb. 3rd. Horizon is offering refunds to customers who purchased the affected products.
Skip Hop recalls Elmo Teether for choking hazard

Skip Hop has recalled its Baby Sesame Street Elmo Silicone Teether after receiving four reports that the eyes can detach, posing a choking hazard. No injuries have been reported. The teether was sold at Carter’s stores and online from January 2025 to March 2026 for about $12. Customers should stop using the teether immediately.
