UPDATE: Police reports link charges against former Reynolds officers to domestic dispute
The reports add timelines but don’t explain how police say Landon Aldridge interfered with a 911 call or what duty Christopher Boyt failed to perform.
UPDATE (8/25/26): Incident reports provided to 41NBC Tuesday night classify an August 22 incident involving former Reynolds police officer Landon E. Aldridge and his significant other as a domestic dispute at a home on Armory Street.
One report says the incident began at 7:57 p.m. and ended around 8:30 p.m. Reynolds Police Sgt. Phillip Harrell and Chief Lonnie Holder met with the complainant at the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office around 11 p.m. regarding the reported incident.
The report lists 23-year-old Aldridge in the offender section and identifies the charge as interfering with 911 calls. The report does not explain who attempted to call 911 or how police say Aldridge interfered.
A separate report lists 36-year-old Christopher K. Boyt in the offender section for an incident at the same location beginning at the same time and continuing until 9:11 p.m. It says Harrell responded around 9:06 p.m. but provides no additional information about the duty police say Boyt failed to perform.
Neither report lists an arrest at or near the scene. Boyt’s report indicates a warrant in his case. Both investigations remain active.
41NBC is still awaiting booking and arrest records and booking photos requested from the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office.

REYNOLDS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Two former Reynolds police officers face charges following an August 22 incident involving one of the former officers and his significant other, according to a news release posted Tuesday on the Reynolds Police Department’s Facebook page.
According to the release, former officer Landon E. Aldridge is charged with hindering a 911 call. Police did not say who attempted to call 911, how the call was hindered or what led to the call.
The release said Aldridge had resigned from the Reynolds Police Department before the August 22 incident.
Another former officer, Christopher K. Boyt, is charged with violation of oath of office. The department said Boyt “neglected a duty related to the investigation of a call for service” but did not identify the duty he failed to perform.
Boyt resigned while under investigation and is no longer employed by the department, the release said.
We reached out to Reynolds Police Chief Lonnie Holder to ask for an incident report. Holder told 41NBC the investigation remains active and directed 41NBC to the Taylor County Jail for booking and arrest records.
41NBC also reached out to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office but has not received a response as of Tuesday afternoon.
