National Water Park Day gives Middle Georgia families one more splash before school starts
Park officials say National Water Park Day serves as a reminder that there's still time to make lasting memories before students head back to school.
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Families looking to beat the Georgia heat celebrated National Water Park Day at Rigby’s Water World on Wednesday.
The annual observance shines a spotlight on water parks across the country, encouraging families and friends to enjoy one of summer’s favorite traditions. At Rigby’s Water World, visitors spent the day racing down water slides, floating along the lazy river and cooling off in splash areas as summer break begins to wind down.
In addition to the attractions, officials say safety remains a top priority. Lifeguards are stationed throughout the park, and guests are encouraged to stay hydrated, wear sunscreen and follow all posted safety guidelines.
With summer nearing its end, Rigby’s Water World continues to be a popular destination for Middle Georgia families looking for one last adventure before classrooms fill back up.
