Warner Robins man killed in single-vehicle crash on Langston Road

The Houston County Sheriff's Office Traffic Division is actively investigating the cause of the crash.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A 53-year-old Warner Robins man died Friday morning following a single-vehicle crash on Langston Road, according to the Houston County Coroner’s Office and the Houston County Sheriff’s Office.

Houston County Coroner James Williams identified the victim as Jermaine Salter. Salter was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, the Houston County E911 Center received a report of a single-vehicle crash at approximately 5:03 a.m. in the 400 block of Langston Road. Deputies with the Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division responded to the scene.

Preliminary findings indicate Salter was driving a 2014 Ford F-150 eastbound on Langston Road toward Lake Joy Road when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.

The crash occurred on Langston Road between Lake Joy Road and U.S. Highway 41. The roadway was temporarily closed while investigators processed the scene.

The Houston County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division is actively investigating the cause of the crash. No additional information has been released.

The Houston County Coroner’s Office asked the community to keep Salter’s family and loved ones in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
