New Southern Spain-inspired restaurant opening in downtown Macon

The restaurant will serve tapas, wood-fired steaks and seafood at 497 Second St. and is now accepting reservations.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Andalusia, a new Southern Spain-inspired restaurant in downtown Macon, will open Tuesday, July 28 at 497 Second St.

According to social media and website announcements, the restaurant is now accepting reservations and applications for its opening team through AndalusiaMacon.com.

Andalusia is Moonhanger Group’s newest dining concept. The restaurant says its menu will include tapas, wood-fired steaks, seafood and Iberian ingredients, “all served with the warmth and hospitality of the American South.”

Andalusia will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It will be closed Sunday and Monday.

The restaurant is moving into the former Kinjo Kitchen + Cocktails location. Kinjo closed permanently in August 2025 after five years in downtown Macon.

Moonhanger Group also operates The Rookery, Dovetail, H&H, Natalia’s, the Capitol Theatre and Grant’s Lounge.
