Peach County scrimmages Veterans in Fort Valley

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – We’re still roughly six weeks away from opening night of the high school football season, but two of our area schools got together in Peach County on Thursday morning to make sure they’re staying sharp as August draws near.

The Trojans and Warhawks took the field in Fort Valley just before 10 a.m., as the two programs went through a variety of looks on both offense and defense. As for Peach County, the Trojans are looking to build on a highly successful 10-win season which saw the team put up 53 points in a playoff victory. Veterans High School is hoping to turn things around in 2026 after a 2-win campaign the previous year.

Peach County opens up the season on the road in Perry, while Veterans kicks off 2026 at home against Warner Robins.
