Bibb deputies seek suspects in Cherry Street jewelry store theft

Deputies say two men obtained merchandise from C.R. Rader Jewelry Co. through a fraudulent transaction.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying two suspects in a theft by deception investigation at a Cherry Street jewelry store.

The sheriff’s office says the theft happened Tuesday evening, June 23, at C.R. Rader Jewelry Co., located at 667 Cherry Street.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded after a report that two men obtained merchandise from the business through a fraudulent transaction.

The suspects were last seen leaving the business in a white BMW 330i four-door sedan, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office says both suspects were wearing gray sweat suits.

One of them had dreads and was about 6 feet, 3 inches tall. The other had short hair and was about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office released surveillance images of the suspects and their vehicle.
