Macon-Bibb County offices to close for Juneteenth, trash collection unaffected

Ryland Environmental will remain operational June 19 and all collection services will continue on their normal schedules.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Macon-Bibb County government offices will be closed Friday in observance of Juneteenth.

County officials announced that all government offices, including the court system, will close June 19 in recognition of the federal holiday.

Emergency and public safety services will remain operational during the closure, including the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, E-911 and the Emergency Management Agency.

The county also announced that the 11th Street Convenience Center and the Convenience Center at 4214 Fulton Mill Road will be closed Friday. The 11th Street facility is normally open seven days a week.

Trash, recycling and bulk waste collection schedules will not be affected by the holiday.

According to county officials, Ryland Environmental will remain operational June 19, and all collection services will continue on their normal schedules.
