Collins campaigns in Middle Georgia, highlights Trump endorsement in Senate race
Republican candidate Mike Collins makes a campaign stop in Middle Georgia, points to experience and Trump endorsement ahead of election

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Congressman Mike Collins, who is running for U.S. Senate, campaigned in Middle Georgia on Monday and made his case to voters ahead of the upcoming election.
Collins says his experience in both business and Congress sets him apart from opponent Derek Dooley. He also says he believes he is the best candidate to challenge incumbent Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff.
During the stop, Collins pointed to his background in the trucking industry and his time in Washington as key qualifications for the role.
“I represent the values of the state of Georgia,” Collins said. “You would never catch me voting to allow men in girls’ sports. I supported that bill because the farm bill is included. And if you look at where Jon Ossoff stands, it is focused on illegal immigration.”
Collins also highlighted a recent endorsement from President Donald Trump, which he says is helping build momentum in the final stretch of the race.
“It is so encouraging to know that the president of the United States puts his confidence in you,” Collins said. “He knows we are the best candidate to win this race and bring this seat back for the people of Georgia.”
If elected, Collins says his priorities include lowering costs for families, protecting Social Security, and expanding opportunities for future generations, including homeownership and starting businesses.
With turnout expected to play a major role in the election, Collins is urging voters across Georgia to head to the polls.
