Bibb County Sheriff’s Office hosting free Summer Safe Camp for children
The camp will be offered at three middle schools across Bibb County and will focus on activities, safety and leadership development.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Bibb County Board of Education Campus Police, is hosting the free 2026 Bibb County Summer Safe Camp for children ages 7 to 14.
The camp will be offered at three middle schools across Bibb County and will focus on activities, safety and leadership development.
Camp sessions are scheduled for:
- June 15-18 at Weaver Middle School, 2570 Heath Road, from 8:20 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.
- June 22-25 at Appling Middle School, 1646-B Upper River Road, from 8:20 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.
- June 29-July 2 at Rutland Middle School, 6260 Skipper Road, from 8:20 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, each camp site has a capacity of 80 children. Spaces are still available.
The camp is free to attend, and breakfast and lunch will be provided for participants.
Parents and guardians can register at any of the camp locations, through the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Outreach Section, or by scanning the QR code on the camp flyer.
