Dre Day Foundation to host fifth annual anti-gun violence festival in Cochran
Community event at Mt. Zion Baptist Church will feature family activities, food vendors, and a candlelight vigil honoring gun violence victims

BLECKLEY COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- The Dre Day Foundation was created after 19-year-old Deandre Pitts was shot and killed by a former friend and classmate in 2021.
Tomorrow marks the foundation’s fifth annual anti-gun violence awareness festival, aimed at bringing the community together while promoting peace and awareness.
The event will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cochran on Saturday, June 6, from noon until 9 p.m.
Organizers say the festival will include games for kids, food vendors, and a special candlelight vigil at dusk to honor victims of gun violence.
