Bibb deputies searching for suspect after stolen vehicle chase

Deputies say the stolen vehicle and a deputy’s patrol vehicle collided during the pursuit, but no injuries were reported.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Bibb County deputies are searching for a suspect who ran from a stolen vehicle after a chase Monday night ended in a crash with a patrol vehicle.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office confirmed a patrol deputy was involved in a chase with a stolen vehicle on Pio Nono Avenue around 8:11 p.m.

During the chase, the stolen vehicle and the deputy’s patrol vehicle collided, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies say the stolen vehicle was recovered after the suspect ran from the vehicle. No one was injured during the chase or crash.

The sheriff’s office has not released the suspect’s  name or description.
