Bibb deputies open free summer basketball camp registration

The free camp for children ages 9 through 17 will be held at Rosa Jackson Recreation Center in June.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is offering a free summer basketball skills camp for children ages 9 through 17.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, registration is underway for the P.A.L. Basketball Skills Camp.

Registration is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the sheriff’s outreach office located at 774 Hazel Street.

The girls camp will run June 1 through June 5 at Rosa Jackson Recreation Center on Maynard Street from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The boys camp is scheduled for June 8 through June 12 at the same location and times.

The sheriff’s office says the camp is free and limited to 60 participants at the site. Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis and registration will not be available at the camp location.
