Humanitarian Gang Inc. seeks community support for Middle Georgia youth programs

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Middle Georgia nonprofit focused on supporting local youth is asking the community for financial support as it prepares for its largest outreach events of the year.
Humanitarian Gang Inc., founded by Victoria Hudson in 2016 and officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit since 2022, is currently focused on fundraising efforts to help continue its youth programs and community events.
The nonprofit hosts two major events each year: a back-to-school giveaway and an annual Thanksgiving meal giveaway. Organizers say last year’s back-to-school event served 401 people in 58 minutes by providing backpacks, school supplies, uniforms and food to families in need.
The organization is now preparing for its fourth annual back-to-school giveaway this summer, but Hudson said funding continues to be one of the nonprofit’s biggest challenges.
As part of its May fundraising campaign, Humanitarian Gang Inc. is selling “Give Back Mission” T-shirts, with all proceeds going toward programs and resources for local youth. The shirts are available for purchase online and in person.
The nonprofit is also encouraging supporters to check whether their employers participate in company matching programs that donate to nonprofits. Hudson said the organization is additionally looking for Middle Georgia businesses willing to become sponsors.
Hudson, who grew up in Macon and attended schools in the Bibb County School District, said she started the nonprofit to give back to the same community resources her family once utilized growing up.
She said the organization’s goal is to help provide local youth with positive outlets, resources and support as communities across Middle Georgia continue facing issues involving youth violence.
