Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigating death on Burke Street in Macon
The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is investigating a death that happened early Thursday morning in the 1000 block of Burke Street in Macon.
MACON, Georgia (WMGT/DT)- The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that happened early Thursday morning in the 1000 block of Burke Street in Macon.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were called to the home just before 1 a.m. after reports of a person found unresponsive.
When deputies arrived, they found a 43-year-old man on the front porch of the residence. Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Investigators say the case remains active, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
