UPDATE: Arrest made in Macon shooting that left woman in critical condition
Deputies say the woman was found shot inside a home Tuesday afternoon.

UPDATE: Deputies say a man is now in custody in connection with a shooting Tuesday that left a woman in critical condition.
According to an update from the sheriff’s office, 29-year-old Anthony Allen is facing charges of aggravated assault family violence and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Deputies identified the victim as 24-year-old Alasia Smith and said her family has been notified.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A woman is in critical condition after a shooting Tuesday afternoon on Westminister Drive.
According to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release, deputies responded just before 5 p.m. to the 1500 block of Westminister Drive, which is near Mercer University Drive.
That’s where deputies found a 24-year-old with a gunshot wound inside a home. Deputies say the shooting happened during a domestic dispute.
The woman was taken to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.
According to the release, a 29-year-old man was taken to the Criminal Investigation Division for questioning.
