The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public health alert for various meat and poultry products that may contain dairy ingredients recalled for possible Salmonella contamination. The alert was updated on May 1, 2026, to include more affected products.

The expanded recall includes six meat and poultry products, notably two types of frozen pizzas sold at Walmart, after finding a link to a previously recalled dry milk powder that may be contaminated with Salmonella.

No illnesses have been reported, but consumers should not eat these products, and retailers should not sell them. Check the FSIS website for a list of affected products and labels. Discard or return any recalled items.

Symptoms of Salmonella infection include diarrhea, cramps, and fever. Contact a healthcare provider if you are concerned about illness. For questions, call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 888-674-6854 or visit the FSIS website for more information.
