Man dies after Saturday night shooting in Macon

Deputies say the victim was found with a gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon man is dead after being shot Saturday night in the 4700 block of High Oak Drive in west Macon.

According to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release, the call came in just before 9 p.m.

When deputies got there, they found 52-year-old Robert Thomas with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses told deputies he’d been shot by his brother during a dispute.

46-year-old Roderick Thomas was taken in for questioning.
