UPDATE (11:29 A.M.) Northside High School has returned to normal operations after a Code Yellow was lifted following a reported threat, with officials saying no one on campus was ever in danger, according to the Houston County School District.

Principal Dr. Dusty Dykes said the Code Yellow was implemented as a safety precaution after a threat was made to the school.

School officials said students and staff remained safe throughout the incident, and the precautionary status has since been lifted.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Northside High School remains under a Code Yellow as law enforcement conducts a thorough search of the campus following a reported threat, with all students confirmed safe and in their classrooms, according to the Houston County School District.

School officials said the precautionary status remains in place while authorities continue to ensure the safety of students and staff.

The district said the initial Code Yellow was issued after a threat was made to the school. Under the protocol, students remain inside classrooms while normal operations are limited as law enforcement investigates.
