Haddock man arrested on child molestation charges

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A Haddock man was arrested on multiple child molestation charges following an investigation into allegations involving a minor, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
24-year-old Michael Talton Lee Barnes was charged with four counts of child molestation and one count of enticing a child for indecent purposes.
Authorities said the Georgia Military College Police Department requested the GBI to investigate the allegations that took place in April of 2026 involving Barnes, a former teacher, and inappropriate sexual contact with a minor.
The preliminary investigation found Barnes had sexual contact with a minor at a local church in Milledgeville, officials said.
Barnes is being held at the Baldwin County Jail.
Officials said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
