Warner Robins man facing charges after high-speed chase in stolen box truck
Deputies say the driver fled onto I-75, drove recklessly and was eventually stopped after multiple attempts.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man is in custody after deputies say he led law enforcement on a high-speed chase in a stolen box truck that stretched from Bibb County into Monroe County.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies spotted the stolen yellow box truck near Pio Nono Avenue and Rocky Creek Road before the driver fled onto Interstate 75.
Deputies say the driver weaved through traffic and tried to ram law enforcement vehicles as the chase moved into Monroe County.
According to the sheriff’s office, multiple attempts to stop the truck, including spike strips and PIT maneuvers, were unsuccessful before deputies eventually disabled the vehicle and pinned it against a guardrail near Rumble Road.
The driver, identified as Darryl Leon Singletary of Warner Robins, was taken into custody. Deputies say he was armed with a knife and refused commands before being detained.
Singletary was taken to a hospital for evaluation and is expected to face multiple charges.
Deputies say several patrol vehicles were damaged, but no deputies or civilians were injured.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says the Georgia State Patrol, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia Department of Public Safety Commercial Vehicle Enforcement helped with the chase.
The sheriff’s office did not specify the exact time of the chase, but dashcam video shared by the sheriff’s office on social media appeared to show it happened Sunday around 10 a.m.
