Monroe County Schools investigation clears substitute teacher of allegations
The district said the substitute teacher remained cooperative throughout the process.

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A substitute teacher at Hubbard Elementary School was removed from the classroom after a report alleged he was watching explicit content on a personal device, but an investigation later found no evidence to support the claim, according to the Monroe County School District.
According to a news release from the district, administrators at Hubbard Elementary received the report on March 26, 2026, involving a fourth grade substitute teacher. School leaders immediately began an internal investigation, removed the teacher from the classroom and notified the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
The substitute teacher spoke with a School Resource Officer and a Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputy and was cooperative during both the school-level and law enforcement investigations. Officials said the School Resource Officer did not find evidence supporting the allegation at the time.
The investigation was then turned over to the sheriff’s office, where it included multiple interviews and a digital forensic search of the teacher’s device over several weeks. The district said the substitute teacher remained cooperative throughout the process.
Earlier this week, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office informed the school district that there was no evidence to support the original claim.
The Monroe County School District said it takes these matters seriously and expressed appreciation for the support provided by the sheriff’s office.
