Sunshine makes a comeback Tuesday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Cloud cover has lingered following Sunday’s cold front however sunshine should return by lunchtime Tuesday
This Evening
Overcast skies will stick with Middle Georgia through the evening and overnight. Rain is unlikely anywhere in the region. The wind will be light from the northeast around 5 mph. Temperatures should largely drop into the mid to upper 40s around the region.
Tomorrow
While some clouds are likely to still be around during the sunrise on Tuesday rapid clearing is likely through the morning hours leading to a sunny afternoon. Temperatures will largely peak in the low to mid 70s accompanied by 6-15 mph winds from the northeast. Gusts will likely reach over 20 mph throughout the afternoon.
Overnight will be clear initially however clouds are likely to return ahead of the sunrise on Wednesday. Temperatures will valley in the mid to upper 40s as the wind continues from the northeast at 6-12 mph. Gusts should hover around 15 mph throughout the night.
Wednesday and Beyond
Hump day is currently expected to be a partly to mostly cloudy afternoon although some shorter range guidance suggests more sunshine. Expect Wednesday to be a bit cooler than Tuesday with most highs likely in the lower 70s. The wind will likely peak on Wednesday with sustained speeds from the northeast ranging from 10-17 mph with gusts of 25-30 mph. Rain is not expected with the increased cloud cover and sunny skies will take over again starting Thursday.
