Cherry Blossom Gospel Fest concerts announced in Macon and Lizella

Lightshine Promotions will host the third annual Cherry Blossom Gospel Fest on two separate nights in March featuring nationally known gospel artists.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two gospel music events are scheduled in Middle Georgia as part of activities surrounding the annual International Cherry Blossom Festival.

Lightshine Promotions will host the third annual Cherry Blossom Gospel Fest on two separate nights in March featuring nationally known gospel artists.

The first concert is set for March 20 at Lizella Baptist Church. The event will feature performances by Brian Free and Assurance and Driven Quartet, with Dayspring Trio also scheduled to appear. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the concert begins at 6:30 p.m.

A second concert will take place March 27 at United Community Church. That event will feature the Mark Trammell Quartet, along with a performance by the South Georgia Quartet. Doors will also open at 5:30 p.m., with the show beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Organizers say the concerts are designed to provide family-friendly gospel music events during the Cherry Blossom Festival season, which draws thousands of visitors to the Macon area each spring.
