Weekend Watch

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Here’s the latest 41NBC Weekend Watch!

Music, Festivals, and Family Fun

On Saturday, music lovers can head to Henderson Stadium in Macon for Sweet Georgia Jamz, a lively festival headlined by platinum recording artists The 69 Boyz. The event features a dynamic lineup of R&B, hip-hop, reggae, gospel, and southern soul performances. Gates open at 2 p.m., and families are encouraged to bring tents and lawn chairs to enjoy the kid zone, petting zoo, and bounce houses. Tickets start at just $5 for kids, and the first 100 entries will receive a pink polo shirt courtesy of Motivating Youth and the Cherry Blossom Festival.

Georgia’s Longest Yard Sale

For bargain hunters, the annual Peaches to the Beaches yard sale returns Friday and Saturday, transforming Georgia Highway 341 into a 200-mile shopping adventure. Shoppers can browse thousands of vendors offering antiques, handmade goods, vintage finds, and unique bargains, with one of the biggest stops at Mary Ross Waterfront Park in Historic Downtown Brunswick. Organizers recommend bringing cash and arriving early for the best deals.

Food Truck hype rolls into Macon

Foodies in Macon won’t want to miss the Championship Eggroll Truck, making its first-ever stop in town from March 12–15 at 6011 Zebulon Rd (Lowe’s parking lot). The truck offers loaded signature eggrolls with fillings like Philly cheesesteak, super hibachi, seafood deluxe, and soul food. Arrive early—these specialties are available daily until they sell out.

Blossoms and community spirit

Spring also brings a chance to beautify your yard while honoring a local legend. Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful is giving away free cherry blossom trees on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Spirit of Macon Park, paying tribute to Wayne Woodworth, a master gardener and beloved volunteer who spent years helping cherry blossoms thrive in the city.

St. Patrick’s Day celebrations

St. Patrick’s Day celebrations are in full swing this weekend. Downtown Macon’s Green Mile Bar Crawl invites revelers 21 and up to check in at Cashman’s Pub between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday before enjoying drink specials, games, and a DJ at more than a dozen participating bars. For karaoke fans, The Daisy Tequila Bar is hosting a St. Paddy’s Day bash with music and mini games starting at 8:30 p.m.

Warner Robins residents can join the “Greenest Party of the Year” at The Patio at Rigby’s, with live music from Steve Holcomb at 6 p.m., DJ Brooks at 8:30 p.m., food and drink specials, and giveaways—all for a $5 cover. On Sunday, the festivities continue in Macon at The Society Garden’s Sunday Funday, featuring free live music from Dubshak Band and plenty of festive green drinks.

Run, walk and support animal rescue

For those seeking an active start to the weekend, Paws in Middle Georgia is teaming up with New Beginning Church for a 5K Run & Walk at 8 a.m. Saturday in Warner Robins. The event is family-friendly and supports animal adoption and fostering, with a live DJ, free swag bags, and awards for top finishers.
