Bibb County Schools delay start times after tornado warning
Under the delayed schedule, high schools will begin classes at 8:30 a.m., elementary schools at 9:20 a.m., and middle schools at 10:05 a.m.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Schools will delay opening by one hour Thursday following a tornado warning earlier in the morning, according to the Bibb County School District.
The district said it has been in communication with the National Weather Service for updates as the severe weather moved through the area.
Under the delayed schedule, high schools will begin classes at 8:30 a.m., elementary schools at 9:20 a.m., and middle schools at 10:05 a.m.
During the tornado warning, all school buses were instructed to pull over and shelter in place for safety, district officials said. Buses are now resuming their normal routes.
Parents can check their child’s bus location using the My Ride K-12 app.
District leaders are urging families to remain cautious while traveling and to use care on area roads.
