Man arrested for burglary at On Time Fashion in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A man was arrested in connection with the burglary of a commercial business on Sunday morning, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a news release, the burglary occurred at 7:20 a.m. on March 8. Deputies responded to a burglary alarm at On Time Fashion, located at 412 Third Street in Macon.

When deputies arrived, they found damage to a window at the front of the business. Deputies confirmed that merchandise had been stolen, but no one was inside at the time.

During the investigation, a person of interest was located near the Terminal Station. The suspect was seen walking north on Fifth Street carrying a bookbag and another bag over his shoulder.

60-year-old Kenneth Lee Johnson was identified as the suspect in connection with the burglary of On Time Fashion, as several pieces of merchandise from the business were found in his possession.

Johnson was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. The stolen merchandise was returned to the business.

Johnson was charged with felony first-degree burglary and is being held without bond.
