(LILAMAX)- President Trump used his State of the Union address to take credit for economic gains, speaking just days after the Supreme Court overruled tariffs that had underpinned much of his economic policy. He is also awaiting another decision from the high court regarding how much authority he has over the Federal Reserve.
During the speech, the president outlined new affordability proposals. He said he would move to impose limits on investors buying large numbers of homes and give Americans without access to a retirement savings plan at work the opportunity to invest in the retirement plan for federal workers.
Meanwhile, the effort to buy Warner Brothers Discovery remains active. Paramount increased its offer to $31 per share. The Warner Brothers board says it will review the new bid and compare it to an offer from Netflix.
Markets closed higher Tuesday, recovering some of Monday’s losses. Analysts say recent selling may have been overdone.
LinkedIn research shows artificial intelligence is among the fastest-growing skill sets in the United States. AI engineering and implementation top the list, followed by AI business strategy, including data governance and responsible AI practices.
AI is also playing a larger role in homebuilding. The world’s largest homebuilding show recently wrapped up in Orlando, Florida, drawing nearly 100,000 architects, designers, builders and contractors. Industry leaders say AI is increasingly being integrated into the design and construction of new homes. The event marked its final scheduled appearance in Orlando before moving permanently to Las Vegas.
