Woman hospitalized after being struck by car on Gray Highway in Macon

Deputies say the driver remained at the scene after the Tuesday night crash near Sanford Place.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A woman is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday night while walking along Gray Highway.

According to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release, it happened just before 8 p.m. near the intersection of Gray Highway and Sanford Place. Deputies say they responded to the scene and made contact with the driver of the vehicle involved.

An ambulance took the pedestrian to the hospital. Her name has not been released.
