It was a nice change of pace for Middle Georgia to see both days over this past weekend with plenty of sunshine. This broke a pattern of several months in a row with split forecasts every single weekend for the region. Skies will remain clear through this evening and tonight with low temperatures expected in the mid 40s, or close to 10 degrees above the average for this time of year. Wind will be light from the south-southwest.

Tomorrow

A sunny start is expected Tuesday with high level cirrus clouds expected to fill overhead throughout the day. Temperatures will eclipse 70 degrees across Middle Georgia tomorrow afternoon. Most spots should reach into the low to mid 70s as the wind flows from the southwest at 5-12 mph. Gusts should range in the 15-20 mph range, so expect things to be a bit breezy. By the evening hours conditions will likely start to lean mostly cloudy.

Overnight will be mostly cloudy however no rain is expected before midnight. Showers should begin before the sunrise on Wednesday. Overnight lows will largely be in the mid to upper 50s as the aforementioned winds from the southwest persist. It would be a good idea for Middle Georgians to have the rain gear ready with showers likely as Wednesday begins.

Wednesday and Beyond

Rain is likely to be ongoing as Wednesday begins with activity tapering off in the late morning hours. A few of the southern counties in Middle Georgia may have a window mid-afternoon for a couple of thunderstorms. Cloud cover will remain dominant throughout the day on Wednesday before sunshine returns on Thursday. The cold front responsible for the rain tomorrow night/Wednesday will drop temperatures back into the 60s for the final days of the work week.
