Deputies arrest Wrightsville woman on cruelty, abandonment charges
Deputies say two children were left without proper supervision or food for extended periods.

WRIGHTSVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A Wrightsville woman is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after investigators say she left two children in unsafe living conditions for weeks at a time.
According to a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office news release, arrest warrants were issued on Wednesday for 37-year-old Kenisha Blair on two counts of felony cruelty to children and eight counts of misdemeanor abandonment of children.
Investigators say the charges stem from an investigation that began on Tuesday after the Criminal Investigations Division received information involving a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old victim.
The release says the investigation revealed that between November 2025 and February 2026, Blair left the children at a home described as unsafe and unfit for living. Investigators say the children were left with people who were unable to properly care for them and without adequate supervision or food for extended periods.
On Thursday, deputies took Blair into custody at her home. She was taken to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, and the children were placed in a “safe environment,” the release said.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
