Gov. Brian Kemp urges Georgians to prepare as weather system approaches
Governor says state agencies are monitoring potential impacts this weekend

ATLANTA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Gov. Brian Kemp said he is closely monitoring an incoming weather system as state agencies prepare for potential impacts this weekend.
In a statement, Kemp said he is working with state agencies to track the system and encouraged Georgians to take steps now to prepare.
“I’m closely monitoring the incoming weather system with state agencies as they prepare for anything this weekend may bring,” Kemp said.
Kemp urged residents to secure food, fill up on gas, and ensure they are prepared for the possibility of power outages.
“I encourage Georgians to do the same,” he said. “Take this time to secure food, fill up on gas, and ensure you’re prepared for any potential loss of power.”
“We’ll get through this as we have before — carefully and together,” he added.
