New Supergirl trailer debuts as Taylor Swift Eras Tour hits Disney+

Movie fans are getting their first look at a new era of superhero storytelling.

(CNN)- A newly released trailer for Supergirl reveals a very different take on Superman’s cousin, showing the hero partying just as hard as she fights. The film stars House of the Dragon actress Milly Alcock as the super-powered heroine, who is seen knocking back shots before taking down bad guys. Supergirl is set to fly into theaters next June.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift fans have new reasons to tune in to Disney+. The streamer has debuted the first two episodes of The end of an era, a six-part docuseries offering a behind-the-scenes look at Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour. In addition, a concert film capturing the tour’s final show is now available on the platform.

And iconic movie memorabilia is heading to the auction block.

Propstore announced it will auction off Quint’s fishing rod and harpoon gun from Jaws in March. The legendary props don’t come cheap — the harpoon gun is expected to sell for up to $500,000, while the fishing rod could fetch as much as $150,000.
