Goo Goo Dolls announce Macon stop on Summer 2026 tour

The band will perform August 27 at the Atrium Health Amphitheater with Neon Trees as the opening act.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Goo Goo Dolls will bring their Summer 2026 tour to Macon for a one-night show at the Atrium Health Amphitheater on Thursday, August 27, with Neon Trees opening.

According to a news release from Oak View Group, which oversees the Atrium Health Amphitheater, tickets for the concert go on sale Friday, December 12 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.com or the Macon Coliseum Box Office.

The band will launch its Summer 2026 tour on July 24 and will make stops across the U.S. and Canada before arriving in Macon. The tour also includes performances in cities such as Huntsville, Alabama; Milwaukee, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale and Charleston, along with a Las Vegas residency in May 2026.

Last week, the band released the full performance audio from its set at California’s Stagecoach Music Festival. The group also recently released a Tiny Desk performance with NPR Music featuring “Iris,” “Slide,” “Feel The Silence” and “Not Goodbye (Close My Eyes).”

According to the release, “Iris” recently hit No. 9 on Spotify’s U.S. Daily Top Songs Chart and peaked at No. 9 on Spotify’s Global Daily Chart. The track is now Certified Diamond and has amassed more than 5 billion streams worldwide.

Formed in 1986 by John Rzeznik and Robby Takac in Buffalo, New York, the Goo Goo Dolls have sold 15 million records worldwide and earned four GRAMMY nominations. The band holds the all-time radio record for “Most Top 10 Singles,” according to the release.

The release also says Dizzy Up The Girl is certified five-times platinum, while A Boy Named Goo is double platinum. The band’s most recent project, the Summer Anthem EP, is out now.
