(NBC)- Ukraine is condemning what it calls a massive new wave of Russian attacks, after multiple strikes hit the industrial city of Kremenchuk. The assaults come even as peace talks continue, with Russia’s Ministry of Defence releasing footage of its aircraft dropping bombs.

While on a trip to India, President Vladimir Putin signaled Russia’s intentions clearly, saying the country will take more land by “military or other means.”

In Kyiv, President Volodymyr Zelensky attended memorials honoring families of soldiers killed defending Ukrainian territory. On Tuesday, Zelensky is expected to meet key European allies during a visit to London as Ukraine presses for continued support.

Meanwhile in Doha, Donald Trump Jr. weighed in on his father’s potential foreign policy stance, suggesting former President Trump “may” walk away from Ukraine.

“I don’t think Ukraine is going to be abandoned,” Trump Jr. later clarified, “but… the American public doesn’t have an appetite for writing the check themselves.”

European leaders also responded from the same forum. The EU has been under scrutiny for failing to release billions in frozen Russian assets intended to support Ukraine.

When asked whether Europe’s inaction shows it is powerless, EU foreign affairs representative Kaja Kallas pushed back, saying:

“We are actually quite powerful… We shouldn’t underestimate our own power and overestimate Russia’s power. Their economy is not doing well.
