FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT-DT) – Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Florida man after stopping a stolen Lexus SUV on I-475 near the Zebulon Road exit. The traffic stop followed a BOLO issued out of Hillsborough County, Florida, for the vehicle.
Deputies say the driver, 24-year-old Resha Ty Freelove of Tampa, was taken into custody without incident. During the investigation, authorities also discovered a stolen wallet inside the SUV.
Freelove is now facing charges of identity fraud and theft by receiving stolen property in Georgia. He also has additional charges pending in Florida.
He was transported to the Monroe County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
