Soft lockdown lifted at Dodge County schools after community threat

Officials said there was no immediate danger inside either school.

DODGE COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Dodge County Middle School and Dodge County High School were placed under a soft lockdown Monday morning after local law enforcement reported a threat in the surrounding community, according to Dodge County Schools.

A spokesperson for the Board of Education said the situation has nothing to do with the school and is solely related to a threat in the community. Officials said there was no immediate danger inside either school.

The soft lockdown was lifted at 11:15 a.m. Monday.

District officials said they will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
