Two arrested in Warthen after child pornography investigation
Deputies say a search of a Highway 15 North home revealed firearms, marijuana and evidence linked to a child exploitation investigation.

WARTHEN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says two people were arrested after deputies executed a search warrant tied to a child pornography investigation on Highway 15 North.
According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, investigators carried out the search on Friday after a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. The sheriff’s office partnered with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s ICAC Task Force during the operation.
Deputies say marijuana and two firearms were found inside the home. 69-year-old Rusty David Eakin was arrested and charged with two felony counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Investigators were later given the name of another person connected to the home. Deputies found and arrested 37-year-old Joseph Rusty Eakin, who was charged with felony sexual exploitation of children.
The sheriff’s office says additional charges are pending.
