MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Despite being known as the Spooky Holiday no bad weather is expected on Halloween this year.

This Evening

The clouds have been stubborn again despite the efforts of sunlight to peek through this afternoon. There has been plenty of wind as well and that will remain the case through the evening. Gusts may push as high as 30 mph through the evening hours before slowing some overnight. Clouds will clear some while the sun is out however most of the clearing will happen post sunset. It will be a cold night with lows expected in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Gusts from the northwest may still reach to around 15 mph, dropping wind chills into the low-mid 30s out the door tomorrow morning.

A sunny day is expected to end the work week however it will be cool. Wind will flow from the west-northwest at 5-10 mph with gusts to around 15 mph. Highs will largely reach the mid to upper 60s in the afternoon.

Expect temperatures to be dropping into the 50s during the Trick-or-Treat window as the sun goes down. Extra layers would not be a bad idea under the costumes for those who get cold easily.

Overnight will be clear and chilly with wind staying out of the northwest at around 5 mph. Lows will be in the mid to upper 30s for most of the region rolling into Saturday.
