Man arrested after shots fired into Duhart Avenue home in Eastman
Officers say they recovered the firearm believed to have been used.

EASTMAN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Eastman Police Department says a man is in custody after shots were fired at a home earlier this month on Duhart Avenue.
According to a news release, officers received a 911 call on October 8 regarding a “residence on Duhart Ave that had been shot.”
When officers got there, they learned the home, which was occupied, had been struck three times, and one of the rounds went inside the home. A total of ten shells casings were found.
Investigators then used the city’s CCTV to locate the shooter and attempt to identify him. Once he was identified, a search warrant was issued for his home.
“While preparing to execute the search warrant the shooter was seen walking and apprehended without issue,” the release said.
The search warrant was then served and the firearm believed to be used was found and taken into evidence.
Jamarquce Adebanji was charged with seven counts of aggravated assault, seven counts of reckless conduct, one count of possession of a firearm during a crime, one count of discharging a firearm near a roadway, one count of criminal use of article with filtered identification mark (serial number removed), one count of discharge of firearm on property of another, one count of pointing of aiming a firearm at another and one count of criminal trespass.
