Deputies investigating armed robbery at Family Dollar in Macon
Deputies say a man wearing dark clothing demanded money from store employees before running away with cash.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that happened Wednesday night at a Family Dollar store on Shurling Drive.
According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to the store at 2035 Shurling Drive after a call came in to the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center around 8:55 p.m.
Investigators said a man entered the store, pointed a gun and demanded money. The suspect ran from the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured, according to the release.
Deputies described the suspect as a man wearing all dark clothing.
