Small plane makes emergency landing near Kaolin Field Airport in Sandersville
Deputies say the pilot landed safely on Kaolin Road and moved the aircraft off the roadway with help from law enforcement.

SANDERSVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Deputies responded to the 700 block of Kaolin Road on Tuesday after a small plane made an emergency landing near the Kaolin Field Airport, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
In a Facebook post just after 4 p.m., Sheriff Joel Cochran said no one was injured and that deputies helped the pilot move the plane off the roadway to a safe location.
Cochran said deputies remained on the scene assisting with the situation.
The sheriff’s office has not released additional details.
