City of Warner Robins prepares for upcoming trunk-or-treat

Warner Robins Mayor LaRhonda Patrick said the event is open to the community.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The City of Warner Robins is hosting its annual Trunk or Treat and Food Truck Roundup on Perkins Field.

The Halloween-themed event will take place October 16 and will feature decorated vehicles, food trucks and family-friendly activities. Trunk or Treat will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., and the Food Truck Roundup will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. at Mulberry Street, Young Avenue and Perkins Field.

Warner Robins Mayor LaRhonda Patrick said the event is open to the community.

Local businesses, nonprofits and community partners are invited to decorate a vehicle, hand out candy and help create a fun, festive atmosphere. Prizes will be awarded for the best-decorated trunks, with first-, second- and third-place winners recognized. Participants must provide their own candy or giveaway items.

Registration packets are due by 5 p.m. October 8 and must include a registration form, valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance.

All participants must bring individually wrapped candy or non-edible Halloween-themed items such as stickers, pencils or glow sticks. Organizers recommend preparing enough treats for at least 6,000 children, based on last year’s turnout. Warner Robins Police Department officers will inspect candy at each vehicle before the event begins.

Those not decorating a trunk are encouraged to donate candy or Halloween-themed giveaway items.

Mandatory safety briefings will be held at Warner Robins City Hall on October 10 at 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Participating organizations must attend one of the sessions, which will cover setup procedures, safety guidelines and day-of expectations.

Vehicles must arrive by 4:30 p.m. and remain until the event ends. Judging begins at 5:15 p.m. Costumes are encouraged but optional, and decorations must be family-friendly. Electricity will not be provided, and sales or vending are not permitted during the event.
