REYNOLDS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – U.S. Marshals captured a Florida man wanted in a double homicide after tracking him to Reynolds, and a city council member was arrested in connection with the case, according to the Reynolds Police Department.

Police say the U.S. Marshal Service informed them Wednesday that 60-year-old James Daniels, of Miami, was believed to be hiding in Reynolds. U.S. Marshals, working with Reynolds Police, made contact with Timishea Price, who investigators believed was in communication with Daniels.

Daniels was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals, and Price was arrested by Reynolds Police.

According to the Reynolds Police Department, warrants are being sought for Price on a felony charge of hindering the apprehension of a criminal.

Timishea Price is listed as the Post 5 representative on the Reynolds City Council on the city’s official website.

“This investigation is ongoing, and further charges may be forthcoming,” the department said in a statement.

WTVJ (NBC6) in Miami reported Wednesday that Daniels was mistakenly released from jail on Saturday, when officials with the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department said a “procedural error” led to his release from the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, also known as TGK.
