Alligator relocated after being spotted near Rocky Creek Road McDonald’s
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says a trapper safely recovered the alligator after it was spotted Sunday afternoon near Rocky Creek Road.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Deputies and state wildlife officers removed an alligator from a busy area in south Macon after it was spotted Sunday afternoon.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, a call came into the Macon-Bibb E911 Center at 4:38 p.m. when the alligator was seen. Deputies and the Department of Natural Resources responded to the scene, where a trapper eventually recovered the animal and removed it from the area.
“The alligator posed no threat,” a spokesperson wrote in an email. “No injuries were reported. That alligator has been relocated.”
Photos shared on social media showed people gathering near the animal, which appeared to be restrained with its mouth tied shut in a makeshift fashion. Posts indicated it all happened near the McDonald’s on Rocky Creek Road.
