Coroner: 86-year-old Macon man dies after house fire on Hartridge Drive

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said Oliver Jefferson died Monday afternoon at the burn center in Augusta after Sunday night’s fire.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon man has died after a house fire on Hartridge Drive Sunday night, according to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.

Jones said 86-year-old Oliver Jefferson died Monday afternoon at the burn center in Augusta. The fire happened around 9 p.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of Hartridge Drive. That’s located in a neighborhood off Log Cabin Drive.
