FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia Legal Services Program will host its 2025 “Secrets and Stilettos” luncheon Saturday in Macon, highlighting the issue of sex trafficking and providing resources for survivors.
The event begins at 10 a.m. at the Anderson Conference Center, 5171 Eisenhower Parkway. The free forum is open to the public, but guests must register in advance as space is limited.
Keynote speaker Cyntoia Brown Long, a domestic violence survivor and author of Free Cyntoia: My Search for Redemption, will address attendees. Maurice Johnson, known for his role on CBS’ Beyond the Gates, will serve as master of ceremonies. Tomieka Daniel, deputy director of GLSP, and other legal and advocacy professionals also will participate.
Secrets & Stilettos is designed to encourage conversation among Central Georgia residents, raise public awareness, and provide resources for those affected by sex trafficking. Georgia consistently ranks among states with disproportionately high rates of trafficking.
GLSP, founded in 1971, provides free civil legal services to low-income residents across 154 of Georgia’s 159 counties.
