(CNN)- Sydney Sweeney stars in the suspenseful new thriller The Housemaid, moving into a home filled with unsettling secrets. Sweeney plays an employee working for a wealthy family led by Amanda Seyfried, whose seemingly perfect lives begin to unravel. The film arrives in theaters December 19.
On a lighter note, Maintenance Required offers a fresh take on romance. The rom-com follows two fierce competitors in the automotive world who find unexpected love online. The film premieres on Prime Video October 8.
Meanwhile, Jamie Lee Curtis brings real-life tragedy to the screen with The Lost Bus, a powerful drama inspired by the 2018 Camp Fire in Paradise, California. Curtis, also a producer, says the project goes beyond the film itself. She hopes to ensure that victims and first responders are remembered through a memorial called Hope Plaza in Paradise. The Lost Bus opens in theaters Friday, September 19, and debuts on Apple TV+ October 3.
