2026 Middle Georgia Firefighter Calendar revealed at Luther Williams Field
“Captain Phillip Herndon came right out from the very beginning and met with me and said he was ready to do another calendar,” said Shane Edwards, Fire Chief for the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon-Bibb County Fire Department revealed the 2026 Middle Georgia Firefighter Calendar at Luther Williams Field on Monday.
People were able to purchase their calendars for $20 and get them signed by firefighters on site.
“Captain Phillip Herndon came right out from the very beginning and met with me and said he was ready to do another calendar,” said Shane Edwards, Fire Chief for the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department. “He and Blaine Umba partook in this calendar situation years ago, back in 2017, they started one of the first calendars they put together.”
“So we put a community together and I put a group of firefighters together that made this calendar a success and made it what it is today,” said Edwards.
Photos for the calendar were taken at the Guardian Centers by Brittany Stephens Photography.
The idea for this year’s calendar started back in January. Seventy fighters competed for a spot, but only 36 were chosen by Legends Gym, which was also one of the calendar’s sponsors.
According to the Macon-Bibb County, a portion of the dollars raised will be donated to Navicent Health Foundation to support the local Atrium Health Levine Children’s Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital.
“We wanted to be able to support those families and help those children as they’re coming through,” said Edwards. “So that’s what this event is about.”
If you missed your chance to grab a calendar, don’t worry. You can pick up one at any Fire Station, Legends Gym, and other businesses in Macon. You can also purchase one online.
“If you’re interested in selling calendars for us, please reach out to Ms. Darlene and we’ll hook you up with a set of calendars that can go out,” said Edwards.
