(NBC)- The moment of terror was caught on camera in Jerusalem, where two Palestinian gunmen opened fire on people waiting at a bus stop on Monday. Video shows the first shots ringing out, followed by panicked crowds screaming and running for safety. Another angle captures the rush to escape as the attack unfolded.

Israeli police say six people were killed before the assailants were shot dead by an Israeli soldier and an armed civilian. The area was quickly sealed off by police and military forces. White body bags could be seen at the scene as medical teams collected the remains.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the site soon after the attack. He condemned the shooting as a terrorist act and said it strengthened Israel’s resolve to press forward with its war in Gaza, aiming to destroy Hamas and free Israeli hostages.

In Gaza, Israeli airstrikes have leveled 50 high-rise buildings in just two days. Military officials said evacuation orders were issued before the bombings, and claimed the towers were being used by Hamas. Netanyahu urged Palestinians to leave Gaza City immediately.

Many residents say they have nowhere safe to go. Families fear they will be killed, left homeless, or face starvation no matter where they flee.

Twelve-year-old Jannah Mansour, who had been living in a tent beside one of the destroyed buildings, spent the day searching through rubble for her clothes. She recalled once owning beautiful dresses, but said she now feels like “walking garbage.”

“Nothing is left in life. We are finished,” she told reporters.
